Books Read in June 2017

In the month of June, I only read 5 books. My focus was on finishing all the previously read book reviews, which are now complete and total almost 500. I also earned my 80% badge on NetGalley, which you receive after writing at least 16 reviews out of 20 awarded books. I completed 17, but then I was awarded 4 more books, so I’ve slipped back just under 80%. I’ll fix it in July.

Film / TV Show Reviews

Wrote 2 reviews for Films & TV Shows:

Genre / Author / Series

Created a new menu where you can look up by genre, each author I’ve read and see if there are any book series or which reviews I’ve completed. You’ll also access content about the author and the book series to see if they may be something you’d like to read.

As part of the month, I completed two (2) “Spotlight on the Author” posts, where I included a link to the author and book reviews I’ve completed so far: Authors included:

Book Bucket List

I created a new book bucket list where I will keep a running list of 12 books that I must read before I die. Each of the 12 books is assigned a month when I will read it and post a review. Once completed, I’ll cross it off the list and add a new book for the next month:

What Age Do I Read This Book?

I created a new series to recommend by genre, what are the best books to read by age, covering a range of 12 years for each post. In June 2017, I had one re-post as a result of a partnership with Nel @ Reactionary Tales:

About Me

I’m Jay and I live in NYC. By profession, I work in technology. By passion, I work in writing. Once you hit my site “ThisIsMyTruthNow” at https://thisismytruthnow.com, you can join the fun and see my blog and various site content. You’ll find book reviews, published and in-progress fiction, TV/Film reviews, favorite vacation spots and my own version of the “365 Daily Challenge.” Since March 13, 2017, I’ve posted a characteristic either I currently embody or one I’d like to embody in the future. 365 days of reflection to discover who I am and what I want out of life… see how you compare! Each month, I will post a summary of a trip I’ve taken somewhere in the world. I’ll cover the transportation, hotel, restaurants, activities, who, what, when, where and why… and let you decide for yourself if it’s a trip worth taking. Feel free to like, rate, comment or take the poll for each post. Tell me what you think. Note: All content is my original creation and copyrighted to me, but the graphics and images were linked from other sites and belong to them.
