365 Challenge: Day 269 – Tomorrow
Tomorrow: (a) the day after today, or (b) something that will always have more things for you to do
“Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.”
(Benjamin Franklin)
It’s like the Nike slogan: JUST DO IT! That’s where my head is at today. There is always something else to be done tomorrow, so why not get done what you can today. I tend to live by that motto. With a few looming deadlines this week (final Christmas shopping, announcing the TRUTH award and closing on Father Figure), I find myself behaving with a bit of indecision over how to just finish it up. Since there’s more to do next week, I thought it was a good reminder for all of us this week. When there’s a few things that aren’t closing as quickly as you want them to, and they’re in your control, remember Benjamin Franklin’s quote. Just think of how good it will feel once it’s all done!
“Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.”
About Me & the “365 Daily Challenge”
I’m Jay, an author who lives in NYC. My debut novel, Watching Glass Shatter, can be purchased on Amazon @ http://mybook.to/WGS. I’ve always been a reader. And now I’m a daily blogger. I decided to start my own version of the “365 Daily Challenge” where since March 13, 2017, I’ve posted a characteristic either I currently embody or one I’d like to embody in the future. 365 days of reflection to discover who I am and what I want out of life.
The goal: Knowledge. Acceptance. Understanding. Optimization. Happiness. Help. For myself. For others. And if all else fails, humor. When I’m finished in one year, I hope to have more answers about the future and what I will do with the remainder of my life. All aspects to be considered. It’s not just about a career, hobbies, residence, activities, efforts, et al. It’s meant to be a comprehensive study and reflection from an ordinary man. Not a doctor. Not a therapist. Not a friend. Not an encyclopedia full of prior research. Just pure thought, a blogged journal with true honesty.
Join the fun and read a new post each day, or check out my book reviews, TV/Film reviews or favorite vacation spots. And feel free to like, rate, comment or take the poll for each post. Note: All written content is my original creation and copyrighted to me, but the graphics and images were linked from other sites and belong to them. Many thanks to their original creators.

It’s good advice, Jay, especially this time of year. I hate worrying about getting something done so I usually get started right away. Unfortunately, when there is too much to do, even jumping right in can be discouraging. That’s when I just have to keep a steady pace and hope it all gets done, somehow!

Good advice. I have a “free” day today so I could get some things done if I wasn’t busy reading posts 🙂

I’ve been really trying to stay on point and organized….mostly winning….but being really realistic about what I can and can’t do, and trying to focus on what’s important! Good thoughts!

Procrastination actually sucks your energy, so I agree with trying to do as much as you can today, within reason. We need to take time off when we feel ourselves burning out, too. It’s a balancing act. 🙂

Yes! Definitely, it’s better to complete by today than tomorrow. I really like this quote ““Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.” Good luck with your final write-up for your upcoming novel. I believe it will be a good one. I just can’t wait to read it. Good luck!
