My Very Own “Book Bucket List” – December 2017

Posted on Updated on

I’ve knocked the 7th entry off my Book Bucket List:  Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak. You can see the review here. In its place, I’ve added The Whole of the Moon by Kevin McManus to round out the 12 options for the next vote (post with poll to VOTE is below).

The poll for the January 2018 read is open. Click below to vote by 12/20!

Below is the link to the on-going Book Bucket List and a background on what it’s all about. My Very Own “Book Bucket List”  —  Click the link to access everything since the beginning of this post series as well as see the 12 books currently on the list.

About Me
I’m Jay, an author who lives in NYC. My debut novel, Watching Glass Shatter, can be purchased on Amazon @  I am writing my second novel, Father Figure, with plans to publish it in early 2018. As part of the process to engage with my fans and followers, I am publishing a weekly status on the progress of this second book. For a description of this book, check out the post where my friends and followers voted for this book as my second novel.

Beyond these two books, I have a number of short stories, poems and other novels in various shapes and forms. I also read A LOT. First the book review goes on Goodreads, and then I send it on over to my WordPress blog at, where you’ll also find TV & Film reviews, Tags, Awards, Age/Genre/Book Reads and Author Spotlights, as well as the revealing and introspective 365 Daily Challenge.

You can also access my social media profiles to get the details on the who/what/when/where and my pictures. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Vote in the poll and ratings. Thanks for stopping by. Note: All written content is my original creation and copyrighted to me, but the graphics and images were linked from other sites and belong to them. Many thanks to their original creators.

Think you would like Origin. It will make you stop and think at the end.

These are all awesome choices, but I’m sticking with Kate Morton’s The Lake House.☺️

Hmmm…. it will be a surprise for me. I won’t let myself look until the end. Although I believe I know what may win this time. It was very close last time. I appreciate you participating. How are you doing?

Great, man. I’ve recently been fixing up my “following” strategy since I used to do it very old school by bookmarking the blogs I visit, but now that I’ve discovered that you could make email alerts and prioritize certain bloggers and all, a major clean-up has been made! I now receive your posts in mail (mail dedicated just for the blog) and will be able to follow you much more, and especially interact (which is probably the main thing I haven’t had the chance to do with your blog). Time to play catch-up. 🙂 Look forward to reading more about your journey, sir. How you’ve been?

I absolutely understand what you’re going through with the blog. I used to be able to read every post, but no longer. I wake up to 500 to read and can never keep up, so I’m starting to change and prioritize the order, too. We have to in order to survive. 🙂 I’ll be glad to catch up more with you. All is well. Keeping busy, trying to finish the second book. Also trying to finish the books I committed to read. But I’ll get there by January and 2018 will be more organized! 🙂

I voted for “The Simplicity of Cider” because it is the only one from your list that I have read and I like finding out what other people thought of books I have read. I liked it. It wasn’t earth-shattering, but it was good.

Thank you for participating. I love this title, so I do plan to read it, but probably not soon unless it wins the poll. It will be read in 2018 tho!

Polls are closed. Paula Hawkins ‘Into the Water’ won and will be my January 2018 book to read. Thank you to everyone who participated!
