365 Challenge: Day 309 – Blegh (RYDER RANT)

Blegh: how Ryder feels right now – not so hot

026

In lieu of Ryder’s Rant, he’s sharing a photo of him from a few years ago when he was taking a nap. He’s not up for posting today, as he’s under the weather. We’re doing a rather quick switch of his anti-seizure medicine, as the old medicine was beginning to cause liver problems. After a trip to the vet last week, his blood work came back with some issues. He’s basically sleeping 24/7 and will be for the next week while on multiple medicines, apart from a few breaks to try to eat or drink. I’m hoping he will be more alert by next week, but he may need another week off from his Monday rants… for now, keep him in your thoughts. I’m going to lay down with him for a bit this morning… back again soon. Sorry if I’m missing any comments or responses the next few days! Will be back online again once things are improved here.

About Me & the “365 Daily Challenge”

I’m Jay, an author who lives in NYC. My debut novel, Watching Glass Shatter, can be purchased on Amazon @ http://mybook.to/WGS. I’ve always been a reader. And now I’m a daily blogger. I decided to start my own version of the “365 Daily Challenge” where since March 13, 2017, I’ve posted a characteristic either I currently embody or one I’d like to embody in the future. 365 days of reflection to discover who I am and what I want out of life.

The goal: Knowledge. Acceptance. Understanding. Optimization. Happiness. Help. For myself. For others. And if all else fails, humor. When I’m finished in one year, I hope to have more answers about the future and what I will do with the remainder of my life. All aspects to be considered. It’s not just about a career, hobbies, residence, activities, efforts, et al. It’s meant to be a comprehensive study and reflection from an ordinary man. Not a doctor. Not a therapist. Not a friend. Not an encyclopedia full of prior research. Just pure thought, a blogged journal with true honesty.

Join the fun and read a new post each day, or check out my book reviews, TV/Film reviews or favorite vacation spots. And feel free to like, rate, comment or take the poll for each post. Note: All written content is my original creation and copyrighted to me, but the graphics and images were linked from other sites and belong to them. The medicine to help him in the long-run has awful side effects, and may not actually end up working. But have to try. We appreciate the huge.

I truly am hoping that all goes well. I cant and I don’t want to think that something might happen to Ryder. My brother’s dog at the age of 6 just passed last month and its just too much. Thinking of both of you and truly hoping that all will go well. If I can help in any way let me know…

I appreciate it. Such a tough loss for your brother. That’s the hardest part… it’s horrendous to watch — he literally tries to walk and falls down. Hasn’t eaten in almost 2 days except for some food with his medicine. But he’s drinking lots of water. It’s mostly all normal for the problem, but there’s so many steps. He comes off 1 medicine Wed, which is a risk. He may not adapt to the second medicine which is another risk. So I’ve got almost 10 days before I will see much of a change. I appreciate the offer… listening is helpful! 🙂 thank you.

Aww. Still down huh? You should try that bone broth I told you about if he’s drinking water. It will provide the necessary nutrients he’s not getting with his food and help to cleanse his system while you’re transitioning him.

If you follow Jay’s blog, then you’re familiar with his pup’s weekly Ryder’s Rants, which takes an amusing dog’s view of what’s going on in their lives and other topics. Well, Ryder is very sick right now and I’m asking everyone to join me in sending your thoughts and prayers to him.

Having a sick pet is like having a sick child. You can only be as happy as your least happy child. My heart goes out to you. Good idea to lie down with him he will take much comfort in that. I will pray to St.Francis who is the saint for animals and ask for help.

Sending love and hugs your way, my friend. I’m not sure if I should tell you this or not, but I couldn’t seem to get the phrase ‘Riders in the Sky’ out of my head. I looked it up and found it was a song entitled (Ghost) Riders in the Sky. It’s really weird what thoughts a brain will produce that may seem illogical. When I put two and two together it was like OH! Ahhhh….
