As many of the readers on this blog know, I’ve been focused on a year-long challenge to find myself again. On this journey, I often turn to friends, family and new acquaintances to help navigate the path. Many years ago in my corporate life, I worked for an amazing leader and mentor named Jackie. Although I moved on from the company when I relocated to California, I never lost touch with her. We’d get together for a lunch here and there, catch up with one another at former colleague events, and chat online to stay in touch. Besides technology, Jackie has always had a passion for living and breathing a healthy lifestyle that embraces learning about yourself, determining the right future path and understanding how to be the best you that you can be. In her journey the last few years, she’s partnered with her family and some amazing friends and organizations to open the possibilities for not only her life but for everyone else, too. As part of a larger umbrella of organizations and people dedicated to lifestyle changes, she’s created the O’Brien Family Wellness program and has opened a location in her new ‘Healthy Living Room’ at the Yoga Darshana Center on Long Island in New York.

While you’ll see a few pictures and learn about the upcoming OPEN HOUSE at this physical brick-and-mortar location, there are many other services and lifestyle learning opportunities available through online video sessions. If you live outside the Long Island area, you can still become a member, visit the website, have calls and sessions through multiple technology innovations. So many of us have busy schedules or days, which means finding the time to relax and renew isn’t easy. Sometimes you are interested but might not have any solid recommendations or you might not know someone else who’s used the services from a business or wellness center you think looks helpful. Today’s 365 post is an opportunity to meet a great friend of mine, a former boss and mentor, and a woman leading by example with the creation of a place where everyone can share and support one another in the quest to embrace positive lifestyle changes for healthy living.

I’ve trusted and been a fan of Jackie’s for ~15 years. You won’t find a much stronger or more dependable person than her. Please take a few minutes to checkout her Facebook page and Healthy Living website below. Perhaps you’ll find a new product or service that will be of interest. Or a new organization to follow and get some tips from. Or maybe you’ll connect with a new group of wonderful people to help you figure out how to make changes in your life.  Let’s dive into a few pictures and an overview…

About Me & the “365 Daily Challenge”

I’m Jay, an author who lives in NYC. My debut novel, Watching Glass Shatter, can be purchased on Amazon @ http://mybook.to/WGS. I’ve always been a reader. And now I’m a daily blogger. I decided to start my own version of the “365 Daily Challenge” where since March 13, 2017, I’ve posted a characteristic either I currently embody or one I’d like to embody in the future. 365 days of reflection to discover who I am and what I want out of life.

The goal: Knowledge. Acceptance. Understanding. Optimization. Happiness. Help. For myself. For others. And if all else fails, humor. When I’m finished in one year, I hope to have more answers about the future and what I will do with the remainder of my life. All aspects to be considered. It’s not just about a career, hobbies, residence, activities, efforts, et al. It’s meant to be a comprehensive study and reflection from an ordinary man. Not a doctor. Not a therapist. Not a friend. Not an encyclopedia full of prior research. Just pure thought, a blogged journal with true honesty.

Join the fun and read a new post each day, or check out my book reviews, TV/Film reviews or favorite vacation spots. And feel free to like, rate, comment or take the poll for each post. Note: All written content is my original creation and copyrighted to me, but the graphics and images were linked from other sites and belong to them. Many thanks to their original creators.

Me too! Loved that book! And I love that I can tell people who come to my room looking to change their lives that dreams do come true when I have that book in my hand.

Bravo, my friend. You have persevered and come to the finish line of your marathon. You deserve a visit to your mentor’s room of peace. I fell behind many miles back. Indescribable tech issues have rendered me lame, but I am proud of you. Your goals are noble, and hopefully 365 days of self-discovery have rewarded you with many wisdoms and joyful discoveries.

Keep well. Rest some, and experience a fresh breeze soon.
