Father Figure: Q&A with Shalini & Jay (there will be much laughter)

It’s finally arrived! The hilarious interview between Shalini and this crazy guy. I wish I could say it was just me being interviewed by her, but it completely went off track! I turned the tables on Shalini and asked questions — I even refused to answer one and dared her to instead. As a revenge tactic, she shared embarrassing tweets–about someone who shall rename nameless–drinking a little too much the night the first review for my book was posted.  All I can say is this is definitely worth the wait!

For those who don’t know anything about us: Shalini lives in India, I live in New York. Almost a year ago, we connected via our blogs and have built a friendship between text messages, social media, and blogging. She’s written a wonderful review about my second book, Father Figure, (also wrote one last year about the first one, Watching Glass Shatter, too), but in between we’ve developed a witty and touching rapport from halfway around the world. Without any further unnecessary intro… click the link below to transport yourself to Book Reviews by Shalini so you can read a transcript (with commentary) about the YEARS it took to get this whole thing sorted out!

Interview: Shalini / Jay

(Below was the teaser we sent out earlier this week)

As many of you have heard, my second book, Father Figure, launched last week. If you’re interested, you can read reviews and/purchase the book via Amazon. To help get everyone excited, I will be launching a series of posts in the coming weeks to share some fun that several friends and I have experienced while beginning to market my latest book. First up is an exclusive invitation to read the hilarious Q&A session I had with Shalini over the last week. She will be launching a post on her site Thursday April 19th at 7PM IST and I will be launching the re-blog on my site Thursday April 19th, at 9AM EST.

A quick teaser… it involves flirtation, how to wear briefs, interview the interviewer payback, and guessing how drinking and tweeting at the same time is never a good idea! Ask Nina @ The Cozy Pages, she started this topic one day. It will be lots of fun… rather long… and very informative. Kudos to Shalini for coming up with this wonderful format. But I will end there with this teaser. Click the link below to see her invitation and come back on Thursday to see the finished product!

  1. The interview was great! The friendship between you was obvious throughout. I follow both of your blogs and am very excited to be a part of the media blitz.

  2. “. . . there are two sides to all stories, so I have a hard time hating anyone when I don’t know them. In person, I give someone two chances. If you blow the first, I’m very hard to convince, but I will eventually come around. You screw it up a second time, and I’m done. The world is filled with too many good people to worry about giving more chances to the bad ones.”
    Right on, my friend!
