Readers’ Favorite: Are you on this site, too?

Posted on Updated on

With so many book sites available, it’s hard to know which ones to consider using or supporting. As part of May, I’m going to share my profile and the websites I use for both (1) choosing / reading new books and (2) advertising my own books. Readers’ Favorite is a fantastic find that has become a go-to solution for me in the last few months.

RF

For readers, Readers’ Favorite is great because if you commit to writing a public review, you can download a book for FREE. It could be from a favorite author, a new writer you’d like to try, or anything in between. All genres included. It’s an easy-to-use interface to share your review (similar to Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.). There are other opportunities to connect with authors and win books, too.

reader

For authors, Readers’ Favorite is a FREE site to get a review… but the MOST important part is that this qualified as an EDITORIAL REVIEW via Amazon. On your Amazon profile, you can highlight 5 editorial reviews which are often the place reader’s go to see something considered ‘professional’ in the industry as opposed to an everyday reader’s review. I’ll share more about Amazon in the next week, but it’s been a fantastic help to me. I’ve gotten a review for both of my books, included it in the EDITORIAL REVIEW section on Amazon, and found a few new book readers from it.

The user interface is very friendly, but the best part is they are connected to tons of social media platforms and share your review EVERYWHERE. They create press releases, book giveaway options and contests for you to share. You can get email or text updates depending on your preferences. You can see the reader’s profiles on certain platforms. It’s very useful for any authors looking to get a quick review (got both of mine within 2 weeks of posting), and then you can RATE the REVIEWER!

So… check this one out for finding new FREE books to read and/or getting a FREE review on your book. If you’re interested in reading either of my books, consider leaving a review on Readers’ Favorite once you’re finished. Download both books for FREE on this site or via Amazon to have permanent copy @ Watching Glass Shatter (.99 cents today) and Father Figure (FREE from 5/6 thru 5/10). Leave reviews or share the current Reader’s Favorite reviews through the links below:

I know Readers’ Favorite and I have only reviewed one book on there I think but it was a great novel (Portmanteau it was called). I didn’t expect much of it (it didn’t have a cover I really liked) but I remember thinking I really found a gem afterwards, so a great site!

Yes, I agree. I used it once, then forgot. But as an author, when I saw how it helped with promotion, it sold me. Now I check for books to download for free to review. Similar to NetGalley and BookBub. I figure not everyone knows about the sites, so I want to share where I can!

alright, i didn’t find your book through your link, but i searched it and got it. Now, how do i post the review? Bear with me here, but I don’t see a ‘post a review’ button.

No worries. In the screen I have, at the bottom under the comments to the review is a button that says Add Comment / Review. This is the link I’m on: https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/watching-glass-shatter

OK. Looks like there are 2 ways. If you are a registered reviewer, you have to request access. Or you can just leave a review on top of someone else’s…

I only have 5 stars. Looks like 1 to 5 rating like amazon or Goodreads.

I sent a question to their support team. I don’t want to give it a one star rating unintentionally. Plus, i couldn’t click on the symbols.
I’m also waiting for book bub to approve my profile – couldn’t do that either, so i’m waiting for the support team to do it for me..
The moment i post the review, i’ll let you know.
Sorry for spilling my frustrations over to you.

Don’t apologize. I’m still figuring out how the site works as a reviewer. I hope they can help make it easier. Thank you!
