Our first week focuses on children’s picture books. See below for the winning books selected in the poll. Read from 8/4 to 8/9 and post your review on or before 8/10. You can add in anything into your post besides a review, e.g. giveaways, author profiles, background material, educational ideas, etc. Have fun with it!

  1. I so want to participate because these are all amazing books that I have read or wanted to read but not sure if I can manage it. If I get some spare time this month, I will be reading the books for that week 🙂

  2. I walked to the library yesterday and got all the books for weeks one and two. (Thanks for giving me an excuse to get some exercise in). I had given the Dr. Seuss book to our daughter on her recent graduation from college! Looking forward to participating. It will be nice to chat with you on a more regular basis, Jay, been missing your blog posts 🙂

  5. […] Thank you for putting up with my beginning rhymes. The following will explain why I couldn’t help myself.  As you read, my baby girl is heading off into the world and it just so happens that her departure coincides with the Children’s Readathon hosted by This Is My Truth Now blog. Check it out at https://thisismytruthnow.com/2018/08/02/childrens-readathon-picture-books-week-1/ […]
