Mysteries

The cozy mystery has been around for over one hundred years but many have yet to realize the tremendous value and experience from reading this type of literature.  In the early days, Agatha Christie perfected the art of the cozy detective series.  Today, there are hundreds of authors with varying series covering nearly every possible setting and theme.  Click here to read my blog post on the cozy!

“College Campus Mystery Series”

The first cozy series I’m developing will be called “The College Campus Mysteries” with Kellan Brunswick as the protagonist.  Kellan is a 32-year old Los Angeles TV / Film director and writer who has recently come back home to Wellington, Pennsylvania, a small historic town on the central PA border with New York tucked away between the Wharton Mountain range and Crilly Lake. Kellan is in town to attend the going-away party for his father, the retiring President of Braxton College, when a murder occurs on the campus and puts a spotlight on his family’s reputation.  Kellan is torn between heading back to LA where his Hollywood life is starting to take off and staying in Wellington to help clear his family’s name.  When he’s tapped to fill an open professor position in the Humanities Department, his decision gets even harder because he would like his 8-year old daughter to be closer to his family, especially since her mother passed away a few years ago when she was hit by a drunk driver.  What will Kellan do?  More to come on Kellan and the cast of characters in this new series…  Please click the follow button or submit your contact information below to learn more.  In late October, I will load descriptions of the town, characters and the debut cozy release.

“Hunting the Hillcrest Family Mystery Series”

The second series I’m developing will be called “Hunting the Hillcrest Family Mysteries” which bridges family dynamics and murder.  Brody Hillcrest disappeared years ago to escape a tragic accident only to find himself hiding in Italy away from his entire family.  When his clever cousin Evelyn finds a way to hunt him down, Brody’s forced to face his family and explain his absence.  In the dynamic first release of this mystery series, Brody and Evelyn learn that many of their cousins have some connection to the deceased welcome-home party guest, but neither wants to believe their own family could commit murder.  Watch them learn how to becomes sleuths questioning their own family!
