Question of the Heart

Kindred Spirit,

You fill up my heart.

It is you that have awakened me

From the very start.

I only have one question,

Though be it very small,

If I asked you if you loved me:

Would I take a fall?

And so you looked at me,

Staring into my eyes,

Then slapped me cold and quick

And told me no more lies.

I begged for your forgiveness,

And you then took me back.

From that moment on,

I knew exactly how to act.

So when I kiss your lips,

You will awaken,

My dream now complete,

I will not be forsaken.

I turn around, walk away,

Bidding to return again tomorrow.

Remember though, I make no promise,

For now I’m filled with sorrow.
