In Case You Hadn’t Noticed

In case you haven’t noticed,

I haven’t been myself.

Any passion to endure

Has been devoured by a plague.

In case you haven’t noticed,

I’ve broken into pieces.

Any angst to persevere

Has been banished into solitude.

In case you haven’t noticed,

I don’t know how to pretend.

Any desire to exist

Has vanished out of sight.

In case you hadn’t noticed,

I cannot learn to forget.

Any need to prosper

Has whispered its last breath.

In case you hadn’t noticed,

I no longer wish to live.

Any will to survive

Has descended into darkness.

In case you hadn’t noticed,

You have taken all I have to give,

In case you hadn’t noticed,

You have led me to where I’ve been.
